Why the Center for Baekje History and Culture Was Established

The Center for Baekje History and Culture was built within the Baekje History Reproduction Complex to help visitors to better understand the dynasty by presenting significant relics and historical facts in the form of miniatures, graphics or images rather than merely displaying excavated relics.

In other words, the Center contains miniatures of items such as King Seongwang¡¯s parade to the new capital of Sabi, Sabi Fortress, Mireuksa Temple and the religious service relics at Mount Jeongji. The Center also has images of the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner, Baekje-influenced Japanese relics, the Eunsan Byeolsin religious service and King Muryeongwang¡¯s Tomb complete with narratives.

Functional communities such as the royal palace and a traditional folk village are actual reproductions of ancient buildings, and these structures complement the dynamic visual aids.
